The company was incorporate under Subchapter S in 1989 after
purchasing a Mooney. I used this airplane for
government travel after getting fed up with the airlines
treating me like cattle and loosing my bags. Soon, many
people were renting my Mooney for commercial flight training,
official travel, and pleasure trips to the Bahamas, Puerto
Rico, California, etc. A friend of mine, building multiengine
time for a job with the airlines, had a Twin Comanche on the
airport. He got a job with ASA so he no longer needed
the Comanche So I bought his airplane to rent it out
as a trainer in 1992. After getting several calls about
charter, I decided to start a charter operation under FAR
Part 135 with the Twin Comanche From the charter work,
I met a client who wanted his own airplane, and helped him
buy a Cessna 310 which I maintained and operated for him.
After about a year he wanted a pressurized and air
conditioned airplane, so we helped him buy a Cessna 414, and
I bought the Cessna 310. I had to get rid of the Mooney
though. [That turned out to be a mistake, the Mooney
was a good airplane for cross country]. After September
11, flight training softened tremendously. Enterprise aviation
now
concentrates mainly on aircraft maintenance and uses Double
Bridges
Aviation as a source of airplanes for flight training.
